Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Boost My Resume, operated by N Marketing SASU (SIREN 890 496 565), 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up, signing in, or using any part of Boost My Resume, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Service description

Boost My Resume lets you import, write, edit and export a resume. Eligible AI access also prepares a tailored resume and matching cover letter for a job description: one application. PDF and Word-supported DOCX exports depend on the access rules below. The service is web-only at boostmyresume.org; accounts are individual.

3. Account and eligibility

To use Boost My Resume you must:

• be at least 16 years old;
• provide accurate and current account information;
• maintain one account per person - do not share credentials or operate multiple accounts;
• keep your password (or OAuth account) secure and confidential.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, or systematically download outputs;
• use automated tooling to submit jobs in bulk;
• submit job descriptions for positions you are not personally pursuing;
• generate content with the intent to deceive an employer (fabricated experience, invented credentials, impersonation);
• resell, redistribute, or expose outputs through a competing product;
• attempt to reverse-engineer or reproduce the service;
• circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, or anti-abuse controls.

Fair usage - what "unlimited downloads" means. A signed-in account can download its base resumes as unstyled plain text (TXT) without paid access. It can also choose one saved base resume for free, unwatermarked PDF downloads in any available template. Editing that resume, changing its template and downloading it again remain free; deleting it does not make another resume eligible. Other base-resume PDF exports and Word-supported DOCX exports require active paid access, except for accounts created before 3 September 2026, which retain their free base-file rights. Eligible files have no total download cap; a light anti-abuse throttle still applies.

Unlimited downloads never mean unlimited applications. Monthly Pro includes 10 applications per monthly allowance period. Existing contracts retain their purchased allowances: Basic 3, Starter 10, Active and the former Pro 40, Max 150, Candidatures IA 40 and Éditeur no paid AI applications. Earlier passes retain their purchased allowance. Re-exporting an eligible document does not consume another application.

Unlimited downloads are for your personal, individual job search. They do not permit automated, scripted or bulk downloading; scraping the service or its output; reselling or redistributing the service or the documents it produces as a service; or sharing or transferring access to your account. To protect the service and keep it available to everyone, we may apply reasonable technical measures such as rate limits; these are aimed at abuse and do not affect genuine personal use.

Submitting a URL to fetch a job description. Boost My Resume can fetch a job description on your behalf when you paste a URL. When you do so:

• you represent that you have the right to access the URL you submit and the content behind it;
• we make no representation that the URL or its content is lawfully accessible to you, to us, or to anyone else;
• you are solely responsible for complying with the destination site's terms of service, robots.txt, paywalls, login requirements, regional restrictions, or any other access controls;
• we may decline to fetch any URL at our discretion, with or without notice;
• the content we retrieve is processed under the same terms as any job description you paste manually - see Privacy Policy - with no special carve-out.

5. Not professional career advice

Important. Boost My Resume produces AI-generated suggestions to help you tailor your application materials. It is not professional career advice, legal advice, immigration advice, tax advice, employment-law advice, or a recruitment service. Outputs are starting points: you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying everything before sending it to an employer. We make no guarantee of interviews, offers, employment outcomes, or any specific result.

6. AI-generated content and accuracy

The tailored resumes, cover letters, scores and analyses are produced by large language models. They may contain factual errors, awkward phrasings, or omissions. Before using any output, you should read it end-to-end, check every claim against your actual experience, and edit anything that is not accurate or in your voice. You bear full responsibility for the content you submit to employers.

7. Plans, applications and payments

What an application is. One application includes a tailored resume and its matching cover letter for one job. We do not submit it to an employer for you. A new application uses one allowance unit, including when started from the cover-letter journey. With an earlier 24-hour pass or an existing Basic subscription, unlocking a selected unpaid preview you own also uses one application. Exporting again or recovering the missing part of the same application uses no additional unit. Earlier standalone-letter rights remain valid under their original grants.

Free access and Éditeur. A signed-in free account can save up to 3 base resumes, edit them and download their unstyled TXT. Before the first free PDF download, you choose the one saved base resume that keeps free PDF access across templates and later edits. This choice is tied to your account and cannot be moved by deleting that resume. An active pass or subscription raises the creation cap to 10 and permits other eligible base PDF and supported DOCX exports. Accounts created before 3 September 2026 retain their earlier free base-file rights. Saved documents remain visible and editable after paid access ends, even above the free creation cap. Free access and Éditeur include 2 complete on-screen AI application previews per UTC calendar month, resetting on the first day at 00:00 UTC without rollover. The resume and matching letter are fully readable. Tailored-resume, cover-letter and application-bundle files require eligible paid access; Éditeur alone does not unlock unpaid application files. It can export owned archives already unlocked while its paid file access remains active.

Subscriptions and availability. Monthly Pro, the Starter plan with 10 AI applications per month, is the only offer for new purchases. New passes, Basic, other plans and quarterly subscriptions are not offered. The price, currency and tax treatment shown before confirmation govern the purchase. Applications refresh at the start of each monthly allowance period without rollover. There is no subscription free trial. Monthly Pro renews monthly until cancelled. Existing subscriptions, discounts, voluntary upgrade paths and earlier pass purchases keep their agreed rights. Earlier quarterly contracts still release applications monthly, not all at once.

Free assistance allowances. Free and Éditeur accounts have separate weekly allowances for 30 text improvements, 15 draft-bullet requests, 10 job analyses, 3 job-description translations, 3 standalone cover letters and 15 job-URL imports. These reset on Monday at 00:00 UTC without rollover. Standalone letters are fully readable on screen; their file exports require eligible paid access. Without an account, public samples include 5 improvements, 3 draft requests, 2 analyses, 1 translation and 1 letter per rolling 30 days; URL import requires sign-in. Signing up starts the full registered allowance without subtracting anonymous use. The public tools allow 5 ATS checks, 10 skills-gap checks and 5 headline/profile requests per rolling 24 hours without an account, or 10, 20 and 10 respectively when signed in. Anti-abuse and service-wide capacity controls may also apply.

Paid assistance and how use is counted. Monthly Pro includes 30 improvements, 15 draft requests, 30 analyses, 3 translations and 6 standalone letters per rolling 24 hours. Paid and historical accounts keep at least the free capabilities and any stronger applicable allowance; overlapping limits are not added together. Each feature has its own allowance. Successful new results count; failed requests, automatic retries, cached results, accepting a suggestion, manual edits and template changes do not consume another unit. A complete application consumes one application unit, without also using standalone analysis or letter allowances. Reaching one feature limit does not block other features, manual editing or already eligible downloads. Unused allowances do not roll over.

Changing plans. Upgrading from Basic to Monthly Pro or Active, or from Monthly Pro to Active, requires review of the amount due now, any prorated credit or charge, and the next renewal amount and date. Stripe calculates these amounts; access to the higher allowance starts only after payment is confirmed. An upgrade within the monthly ladder keeps the current period and applications already used. For example, 3 used applications leave 7 on Monthly Pro or 37 on Active for that period. Earlier Éditeur-to-Candidatures IA changes still start a new paid period only after successful payment, with any unused-time credit shown beforehand. Existing end-of-period changes and explicitly accepted moves from older contracts retain their disclosed timing. The confirmation shows the effective date and payment. Changing a plan never removes saved documents.

Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA). As a consumer in the EU or EEA you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. We do not ask you to waive that right when you start a subscription. The contractual 14-day refund below also applies to the first charge of a new subscription. Earlier pass purchases retain their accepted refund and withdrawal rights. Where an earlier one-off purchase was supplied immediately and you gave consent at that checkout, the consent recorded for that purchase continues to govern it.

Earlier 24-hour pass. This one-time pass provides 24 consecutive hours of paid file access from activation and one AI application during that window. You can use the application for a new job or to unlock the selected unpaid preview you own. Unlocking that preview uses the included application; it is not an extra application and does not unlock other saved previews. The pass expires automatically and never renews. Saved work remains visible and editable after expiry.

Earlier 3-day pass. This one-time pass provides 72 consecutive hours of paid file access from activation and 3 AI applications during that window. It also unlocks your existing unpaid previews. It expires automatically and never renews.

Earlier one-time passes. Earlier purchases retain their accepted price and rights. Existing 3-day passes retain 3 applications over 72 hours, and 30-day passes retain 30 applications over 30 days. Earlier 7-day, Week Pass and Single Application purchases and compatible in-flight checkouts retain their original identities, start rules, windows, balances and accepted rights. Passes expire automatically and never renew.

Renewal and cancellation (subscriptions). Before you pay, checkout shows the amount charged that day, the next renewal amount and date, and whether billing is monthly or every 3 months. A subscription auto-renews on that cadence unless cancelled. We schedule a reminder email 2 to 4 days before each renewal, but email delivery is not guaranteed: renewal follows the disclosed schedule, and your ability to cancel does not depend on receiving the reminder. You can cancel in 2 clicks at any time using Cancel subscription on the Billing page; Manage plan and payments opens Stripe for invoices and payment methods. On cancellation, you retain access through the end of the paid period and then return to the free tier. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time within a period.

After access ends. Saved work remains visible and editable. Unstyled base-resume TXT and the chosen base resume’s free PDF remain available, as do earlier free base-file rights for accounts created before 3 September 2026. Other styled files require renewed eligible paid access. Complete on-screen previews and previously unlocked text remain readable. Purchased application credits keep their original expiry, and eligible free monthly previews remain available. Creating another base resume requires space within the current cap.

Service failures and recovery. A refundable technical failure before a usable CV is produced restores the original application source once. Restoration belongs to the original allowance period or purchased-credit expiry; it does not add credit to a later period or extend an expired pass. The same rule preserves a failed free preview within its original month. If a usable CV exists but its letter or finalization fails, the CV stays available and the application remains consumed. We retry the missing stage on the same application without another charge; an additional retry and support are available if automatic recovery fails. This is separate from refund and withdrawal rights.

VAT and taxes. The chosen offer shows its currency and tax treatment before payment. Current EUR offers include applicable tax in the displayed total. USD offers exclude applicable tax, which is added at checkout. Stripe calculates tax from the billing information you provide; the final amount is shown before confirmation.

14-day refund. The first paid charge of a new subscription is eligible for a full refund if you ask within 14 days of the purchase. For a first quarterly payment under an earlier contract, this covers the full amount charged for the 3 months. Write to contact@boostmyresume.org within that period; no reason is required. Subscription renewal charges are not covered by this contractual refund. Refund terms accepted for earlier one-off purchases remain in force, including the full 14-day refund for passes sold with that guarantee. This commitment sits alongside the statutory withdrawal right described above, is separate from automatic credit restoration for qualifying service failures, and does not limit your statutory consumer rights.

Legacy consumer rights. Nothing in these revised Terms waives or reduces any refund, withdrawal, or other statutory or contractual right attached to a legacy pass or earlier subscription. We apply the terms that were in force when the purchase was made.

Version of the Terms at purchase. The version of these Terms in force when you buy a pass or start or renew a subscription is recorded for our records. The recorded version for a previous pass purchase remains attached to that purchase. Material changes are announced in the app and by email; your continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Boost My Resume name, logo, design, source code, templates and editorial copy are the property of N Marketing SASU and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.

You retain all rights in the content you submit (your resume, the job descriptions you paste, any photo you add, any text you provide). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to process that content for the sole purpose of operating the service for you.

You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, personal licence to use the outputs we generate for you (tailored resumes, cover letters, exports) in your own job search. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the outputs to build a competing product.

9. Data processing

How we collect, store and process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of Boost My Resume is limited to the total amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost offers, lost interviews, lost employment, lost revenue or lost data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French law.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email to active users. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith between you and us - please write to contact@boostmyresume.org.

Failing an amicable resolution, the courts of Paris (Tribunaux de Paris) shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory provisions of consumer law that protect a consumer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
