These Terms govern your use of Boost My Resume, operated by N Marketing SASU (SIREN 890 496 565), 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up, signing in, or using any part of Boost My Resume, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service description
Boost My Resume is a web application that takes a resume you provide and a job description you paste, and returns a tailored resume together with a matching cover letter - one application. During eligible paid access, every application can be exported as an ATS-friendly PDF; editable DOCX is available on templates marked as Word-supported. The service is web-only and accessed at boostmyresume.org. Accounts are single-user; there are no team or organisation features.
3. Account and eligibility
To use Boost My Resume you must:
- be at least 16 years old;
- provide accurate and current account information;
- maintain one account per person - do not share credentials or operate multiple accounts;
- keep your password (or OAuth account) secure and confidential.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, or systematically download outputs;
- use automated tooling to submit jobs in bulk;
- submit job descriptions for positions you are not personally pursuing;
- generate content with the intent to deceive an employer (fabricated experience, invented credentials, impersonation);
- resell, redistribute, or expose outputs through a competing product;
- attempt to reverse-engineer or reproduce the service;
- circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, or anti-abuse controls.
Fair usage - what "unlimited downloads" means. Base-resume PDF exports, and DOCX exports on Word-supported templates, are free after sign-in. Passes and subscriptions add unlimited re-downloads and re-exports of the tailored resumes and full cover letters generated during paid access. There is no total cap on that download action; we only apply a light anti-hammer throttle (a short-burst rate limit) that ordinary personal use never reaches.
"Unlimited downloads" refers to re-downloading your own generated documents during your access period. It is not the same as unlimited applications (tailorings): the current 3-day pass includes 3 applications; Starter includes 10 per monthly allowance period, Pro 40, and Max 150. Supported historical 7-day and 30-day pass purchases keep the allowances shown when they were bought. "Unlimited downloads" never expands those allowances.
Unlimited downloads are for your personal, individual job search. They do not permit automated, scripted or bulk downloading; scraping the service or its output; reselling or redistributing the service or the documents it produces as a service; or sharing or transferring access to your account. To protect the service and keep it available to everyone, we may apply reasonable technical measures such as rate limits; these are aimed at abuse and do not affect genuine personal use.
Submitting a URL to fetch a job description. Boost My Resume can fetch a job description on your behalf when you paste a URL. When you do so:
- you represent that you have the right to access the URL you submit and the content behind it;
- we make no representation that the URL or its content is lawfully accessible to you, to us, or to anyone else;
- you are solely responsible for complying with the destination site's terms of service,
robots.txt, paywalls, login requirements, regional restrictions, or any other access controls; - we may decline to fetch any URL at our discretion, with or without notice;
- the content we retrieve is processed under the same terms as any job description you paste manually - see Privacy Policy - with no special carve-out.
5. Not professional career advice
Important. Boost My Resume produces AI-generated suggestions to help you tailor your application materials. It is not professional career advice, legal advice, immigration advice, tax advice, employment-law advice, or a recruitment service. Outputs are starting points: you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying everything before sending it to an employer. We make no guarantee of interviews, offers, employment outcomes, or any specific result.
6. AI-generated content and accuracy
The tailored resumes, cover letters, scores and analyses are produced by large language models. They may contain factual errors, awkward phrasings, or omissions. Before using any output, you should read it end-to-end, check every claim against your actual experience, and edit anything that is not accurate or in your voice. You bear full responsibility for the content you submit to employers.
7. Plans, applications and payments
What an application is. The unit you use and pay for is an application: one tailored resume plus one matching cover letter, always produced together. There is no separate cover-letter purchase - the cover letter is included in every application.
Free tier. You can use Boost My Resume on a free tier: building and editing your CV costs nothing, and a signed-in account can export the base resume as PDF on every template and as editable DOCX on templates marked as Word-supported. One tailoring use per month is also included. The free tailoring shows the tailored resume on screen together with only a limited preview of the matching cover letter; downloading the tailored resume, the full cover letter, or an application bundle requires active paid access. The monthly tailoring use resets at the start of each cycle and is use-it-or-lose-it.
3-day pass. The current pass is a single payment that includes 3 applications and opens 3 days of access from purchase. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Hidden compatibility passes. The 7-day and 30-day passes are no longer displayed on current sales surfaces. A supported checkout already in progress or submitted by a stale client remains valid and grants the applications and access period shown at its checkout. Existing purchases keep their full access until expiry.
While a pass is active you can create the applications it includes, and you can download and re-download every tailored resume and full cover letter from those applications as PDF, plus DOCX when the selected template is marked as Word-supported, without limit. Downloading never consumes an application. The window is anchored to the moment of purchase and is not extendable, pausable or renewable. Unused applications expire with the window and do not roll over. If you buy a second pass while one is still running, the two windows simply overlap; access ends when the later one does.
Subscriptions. Starter, Pro, and Max subscriptions are available on either a monthly billing cadence or a 3-month billing cadence. Starter includes 10 applications per monthly allowance period, Pro 40, and Max 150. A 3-month subscription is charged upfront for the full 3 months at the total shown at checkout; its total is 20% lower than paying the same plan monthly for 3 months. Application allowances refresh monthly even when payment is made every 3 months, and unused applications do not roll over. There is no free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled as described below.
Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA). As a consumer in the EU or EEA you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. We do not ask you to waive that right when you buy the current 3-day pass. The pass gives you immediate access, and we do not request the prior express consent that would extinguish the withdrawal right for digital content under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. The contractual 14-day refund below also applies to the first charge of a new subscription. Where an earlier one-off pass was supplied immediately and you did give consent at that checkout, the consent recorded for that purchase continues to govern it.
Legacy passes. The Week Pass, the Single Application pass and an earlier product also branded 3-Day Pass were withdrawn before the current 3-day pass existed and cannot be bought. Any such pass bought previously keeps the application credits, download window, on-screen access, refund or withdrawal rights, and all other terms shown or accepted when it was purchased, until that access window expires on its own.
Renewal and cancellation (subscriptions). Before you pay, checkout shows the amount charged that day, the next renewal amount and date, and whether billing is monthly or every 3 months. A subscription auto-renews on that cadence unless cancelled. We schedule a reminder email 2 to 4 days before each renewal, but email delivery is not guaranteed: renewal follows the disclosed schedule, and your ability to cancel does not depend on receiving the reminder. You can cancel in 3 clicks at any time using Cancel subscription on the Billing page; Manage plan and payments opens Stripe for invoices and payment methods. On cancellation, you retain access through the end of the paid period and then return to the free tier. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time within a period.
A pass does not renew. There is no recurring charge, no stored mandate for a future payment, and nothing to cancel. We email you shortly before the window closes so the end of your access is never a surprise, but that email is a courtesy: the end date is shown before you pay and again on your account page, and your access ends on that date whether or not the email reaches you.
After your access ends. When a pass window or subscription ends, you can no longer export or re-export tailored resumes, full cover letters or application bundles. Your saved work and settings stay visible and editable; a new tailored application or tailored-file export requires active access.
Service failures. If an application fails because of a technical error on our side, we automatically restore the balance it was drawn from - your pass or subscription allowance. The restore is applied as soon as the failure is recorded; you do not need to contact us. A failed free preview consumes nothing: your monthly preview is preserved. Failures caused by the file or content you submitted do not result in a restore - the application stays consumed and we display a specific message explaining what to change before retrying.
VAT and taxes. For customers in the European Union, displayed prices are inclusive of VAT - the VAT portion is calculated by Stripe based on your billing address and shown as part of the same total. For customers outside the European Union, displayed prices are exclusive of any sales tax, VAT, or local equivalent; where applicable, such taxes are calculated by Stripe and added at checkout based on the billing address you provide.
14-day refund. The current 3-day pass and the first paid charge of a new subscription are eligible for a full refund if you ask within 14 days of the purchase. Write to contact@boostmyresume.org within that period; no reason is required. Renewal charges are not covered by this contractual refund. This commitment sits alongside the statutory withdrawal right described above, is separate from automatic credit restoration for qualifying service failures, and does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
Legacy consumer rights. Nothing in these revised Terms waives or reduces any refund, withdrawal, or other statutory or contractual right attached to a legacy pass or earlier subscription. We apply the terms that were in force when the purchase was made.
Version of the Terms at purchase. The version of these Terms in force when you buy a pass or start or renew a subscription is recorded for our records. Material changes are announced in the app and by email; your continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Boost My Resume name, logo, design, source code, templates and editorial copy are the property of N Marketing SASU and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
You retain all rights in the content you submit (your resume, the job descriptions you paste, any photo you add, any text you provide). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to process that content for the sole purpose of operating the service for you.
You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, personal licence to use the outputs we generate for you (tailored resumes, cover letters, exports) in your own job search. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the outputs to build a competing product.
9. Data processing
How we collect, store and process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of Boost My Resume is limited to the total amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost offers, lost interviews, lost employment, lost revenue or lost data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French law.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email to active users. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith between you and us - please write to contact@boostmyresume.org. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Failing an amicable resolution, the courts of Paris (Tribunaux de Paris) shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory provisions of consumer law that protect a consumer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
