1. Identify your resume type
An owned base resume is the resume you created or imported in the editor. Its PDF is free after sign-in on every available template. Word is also free when the selected template is marked as supported.
A tailored application is generated for one specific job. Its tailored-resume file, full cover letter and combined bundle require the one-time 3-day pass, an active subscription or another compatible retained entitlement. The on-screen preview is not a downloadable tailored file.
2. Choose PDF or Word
Open the resume actions and choose the format that fits the next step:
- choose PDF when the layout must remain fixed;
- choose Word when a recruiter requests an editable file and the template supports it;
- switch to a Word-supported template if the current design is marked PDF only.
3. Sign in and download the base resume
If you started anonymously, the requested format is kept while you create or open a free account. Return to the owned resume, check the latest preview and confirm the download. You can keep editing and export the updated base resume again.
4. Activate access for tailored files only
If you choose a tailored resume, full cover letter or application bundle without access, the product explains the paid boundary before checkout. Choose the one-time 3-day pass for a quick sprint, or a subscription for an ongoing search. Your own resume remains free to edit and export either way.
