Quick answer
Analyze a job description and match score, tailor your resume with AI using supported experience, then review every rewrite and the matching cover letter.To tailor a resume to a job description with AI, open the automatic tailoring flow and add the complete vacancy. Tailoring should change emphasis and wording, not your history. Every claim in the tailored resume and cover letter must remain traceable to your real experience.
1. Add the job description and confirm the target
Paste the complete posting in the automatic flow and confirm the role and company. Before an application is used, review any factual requirement that the system cannot safely infer, such as a qualification or years of experience. Acknowledge that these remain gaps unless they are genuinely part of your experience.

Correct the resume or posting first if either is wrong. If you used the optional public comparison, Boost My Resume can carry the same target into the tailoring flow so you do not paste it again.
2. Start one complete application
Create a free account when asked so the application can be saved. One application produces a tailored resume and a matching cover letter. It is not a separate cover-letter purchase or a second application credit.
During processing, leave the page if you need to. The saved application continues without requiring you to keep a promotional waiting screen open.

3. Review the tailored resume, cover letter and match analysis
Read the result as an editor, not as a spectator:
- compare rewritten bullets with their source facts;
- compare the new match analysis with the starting score and open the evidence behind every changed requirement;
- remove any wording that overstates ownership or impact;
- confirm dates, tools, numbers and proper names;
- check that the cover letter uses the same supported evidence;
- edit the output before exporting.

4. Export when the application is ready
Your eligible free-account preview remains available on screen. Exporting the AI-tailored resume, opening the full cover letter as a file or downloading the application bundle requires the one-time 3-day pass, an active subscription or retained legacy entitlement. Your manually edited resume remains free to export as PDF or supported Word.
Frequently asked questions
What changes during tailoring?
The resume is reorganized and reworded around requirements your real experience supports. Unsupported skills and achievements must not be invented.
Is a cover letter included?
Yes. One application includes one tailored resume and one matching cover letter based on the same resume and posting.
What is free and what needs paid access?
The comparison and editor are free. A free account can receive its eligible monthly on-screen tailored preview. Tailored files, the full cover letter and application bundles require active access.
Does tailoring automatically improve the resume match score?
Tailoring can improve supported wording and emphasis, but a real experience gap stays a gap. Compare the new analysis with the starting score instead of adding unsupported keywords.
